Issuing a security policy is the very first step to be taken by national authorities, prior to issue tachograph cards. The national authorities should comply with the ERCA policy and ERCA certification practices statement. The example of a national security policy is also made available for non EU-AETR Contracting Parties in order to really understand what is expected from them in this regards. Further information on this particular subject may be obtained by contacting the European Commission, especially DG JRC (see the 'Links' section on this website).
