CORTE Enforcement working group and Card sub-working group, as well as the Plenary meeting, will discuss the revision and evolution of the tachograph legislation

According to the letter of 19 July 2010 by the European Commission (DG MOVE, Directorate D Inland Transport) addressed to the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission, field tests with non type approved equipment, using test keys instead of official and real keys, are feasible without threats to the overall security of the Digital Tachograph system and are therefore planned under the exemption of Article 3(g) of Regulation 561/2006.

On 4 March 2011, CORTE will be represented at the Special Meeting of Contracting Parties to the European Agreement Concerning the Work of Crews of Vehicles Engaged in International Road Transport (AETR) concerning the relationship between AETR and EU laws (article 22bis and prevailing legal instrument), to be held in Geneva (Switzerland).

From 30 March to 1 April 2011, CORTE Card and Enforcement Working Groups will meet in Brussels for the second time to follow up on the work carried out by their predecessors – MIDT CINC and ENC working groups.
